Activities

A Day at Camp

Arrival

Upon arrival parents and carers will sign in and fill out any other necessary paperwork. Children are welcomed in by our friendly staff.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club vailable for those who have booked it. We serve a healthy range of breakfast foods including toast and spreads, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, and a special "hot option" each day. Food is served until 8.15am.

Free Play and Structured Activities

Children will have plenty to do as soon as they arrive. Our free play and structured activities include:

  • Volleyball / Nuke 'em'
  • Table Tennis
  • Dressing up
  • Construction
  • Board Games
  • Arts & Crafts, including loom bands and hama beads
  • Playground Games

Clinics

We believe in choice and good decision making. In the mornings children are offered a range of activities. They are able to choose which activities to take part in and can choose who they do them with. Some of our choices include:

  • Drama
  • Parachute
  • Big! Arts & crafts
  • Swimming
  • Sports
  • Outdoor games
  • Shipwreck
  • When able, we offer specialist activities like music and gymnastics

Swimming

Swimming is optional and is a fun-filled splash session. We have a qualified lifeguard on duty at all times and keep our staffing ratios. There is a shallow end for less confident swimmers to enjoy. Swimming can take place in the morning or afternoon.

Lunch

Children will need their own lunch. Please do not pack any nuts. Lunch is usually accompanied by a movie followed by some more chilled time to relax.

All-Camp Activity

The afternoon kicks off with one of our amazing All Camp activities. From Carnival to Commando and Dutch Auctions to Gold Rush. These "big ticket" activities always go down well.

9:15 am - 9.30 am Union -- Children come together to learn what's on, meet the staff and find out the day's Bonzo Block clue
9:30 am - 11 am Clinics (in Pods) -- Children have a range of activities to choose from
11 am - 12 pm (Time may vary) Swimming. Children who are not swimming will have other options available.
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Lunch
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Free play and afternoon activities
2:00 pm - 3:30 pm All Camp Activity -- Everyone's favourites including Commando, Gold Rush, Carnival and more!
3:30 pm - 5:00 pm Afternoon activities, free play and Bouncy Castle
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm Free play *when activity is available

Soccer School

Give your child the opportunity to develop their soccer skills with our Soccer School. Through a mixture of drills, matches and "off pitch" learning, our experienced coaches will help your child become a better player.

In addition to footballing excellence, Camp Glide's values are at the heart of our soccer programme. Children become more complete players knowing the value of fair play, teamwork and respect for those in the beautiful game!

Gear List

Don't forget! In addition to the basics please bring:

  • Shin pads
  • 2 pairs of shoes (at least one set of trainers)

Participation may be affected if children do not have the right equipment.

Camp Glide Minis

Join Camp Glide Minis for nursery aged children aged 2 years and upward. Our team of experienced and qualified staff will provide a fun and safe environment for children to enjoy an thrive in. Our Early Years Ofsted registed provision will follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework to deliver high quality care for your child.​


Our day consists of lots of play, discovery and learning as well as a time to rest and relax just after lunch. Please note, MINIs do not go swimming. We ask you to provide food and consumables.

What To Bring

Please make sure items are labelled so they can be returned if lost and found.

Clothing & Gear

Comfortable layers for an active day (it may get dirty).

Footwear suitable for running around.

Sun hat and sun cream (please bring your child with sun cream applied, we will advise or help your child reapply throughout the day).

Swim gear and towel if swimming

MINIs please provide consumables such as nappies.

Food & Drink

Balanced and healthy packed lunch (remember to bring an ice pack)

Snacks for breaks

Plenty of liquid (this can be refilled with water throughout the day)

NO NUTS

Soccer School​

Those attending Soccer School should bring shin pads and an additional pair of appropriate footwear, i.e. boots or trainers. 


Those without the necessary equipment may not be able to participate fully.

Money For Snack​

​There is a tuck shop available at Camp Glide. Parents may provide their child with some money for snacks or refreshments at our tuck shop. Money can be left with a member of staff.

No Electronics​

Please DO NOT bring phones or other electronics. Camp Glide cannot be held responsible or compensate for loss or damage of items.
