Frequently Asked Questions

Registration Questions

  • Do I need to register?

If you are new to Camp Glide, Glide Rangers or the Hokey Cokey Club we need to obtain your details before you start booking. Please fill in the registration pages on our booking platform.

  • Do I need to pay a registration fee?

There is no longer a need to pay a registration fee

  • What if I have additional information I'd like to share?

If you would like to provide us with more information you can request an "All About Me" form from the setting management.

  • Can I go ahead and book?

Once you have successfully submitted the registration form, you may go ahead and book. If you are a returning customer, you may also go ahead and book.

Booking Questions

  • How do I book?

Please first complete a registration form. Then you can head to our bookings page. Navigate through the menus to reach the sessions you need. You can add these to your basket and check out online.

We release our session dates a half term at a time. If you have subscribed for updates we'll send you an email to remind you when we have released sessions.

  • Is there always space at Camp Glide sessions? Is there a waiting list?

Places are given on a first come, first served basis once sessions are released. Our advice is to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. We do occasionally fill up which means we are unable to accept more children. If more spacecs become available we will release them back onto our online system.

  • Can I book the odd session if I need it?

Absolutely. You can book on an ad hoc basis or block-book a half term in advance, subject to availability.

  • Do I have to book in advance?

Yes, and you can also book up to the last minute if you need to, subject to availability. All we ask is that you contact the club phone if you have booked less than 1 hour before the session is due to begin, i.e. after 6.30am for holiday club, or after 2pm for any after school club.

  • Can I cancel or make changes to my booking?

You can cancel sessions using the booking platform as long as they are more than 14 days before the session. If you have purchased 24 hour cancellation and would like to cancel your booking less than 14 days before the session you will need to email info@campglide.co.uk outlining your request. Please note that we can only offer a refund/credit or make amendments if we have been given the correct notice period--usually, this is 14 days. You can purchase extra flexibility to reduce the required notice period to 24 hours. For more information about our policies please visit our Policies Page. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund or credit even if a child is not well enough to attend Camp Glide.

Who Can Attend?

  • My child is currently in nursery, can they attend Camp Glide?

At our Westvale Park setting we accept children from 2 years old.

At our Wray Common Holiday club we accept children from 2 years old.

At our other settings, unfortunately, no. While we recognise that every child is unique, we are unable to accept children in nursery as we may not be able to meet the needs of children that age. Once they have started in reception they can join our settings.

They must be 5 years old, or have their 5th birthday before the end of August in the current academic year.

  • What is MINIs?

Our MINIs programme is for children aged 2 - 4 years old.

We follow the EYFS and meet our Ofsted requirements.

Children not yet in reception must be booked into MINIs. Children entering reception can attend our traditional camp programmes once they have started reception, meaning the first holiday club they can attend will be October half term.

Childcare Vouchers/Tax-Free Childcare

  • Do you accept childcare vouchers or tax-free childcare?

Yes! As a registered provider we happily accept this form of payment.

Childcare vouchers are a great way for parents/carers to pay for childcare. Some employers offer the scheme under which salary is sacrificed so that it can be used tax-free on registered childcare like Camp Glide.

Some people are eligible for Tax-Free Childcare and can sign up online.

We are registered with most voucher providers and are happy to register with new voucher providers.

All voucher providers operate differently. You will be able to search for us with most voucher providers using our Ofsted URN, setting name or postcode (below). Some voucher providers will need a unique reference--please contact us for this.

    Setting Name: Camp Glide

    Ofsted URN: EY466533

    Postcode: RH2 0LR

Please select which provider you will be using upon checking out and how much you will be paying using the provider.

Payment must be made in full within 7 days of placing your booking, or immediately if the first day of your booking is within 7 days.

Your booking may not be honoured if payment has not been received within 7 days of your invoice, or immediately if the first day of your booking is within 7 days. Children will not be able to attend until any outstanding balance has been paid.

You are obliged to pay for any booking made. Cancellation notice periods are in line with booking via other payment methods. Please see our terms and conditions page. You will be charged for any sessions you have booked even if your child does not attend unless the correct notice period is given. Please be aware that some voucher payments can take 4-5 days to reach us. Therefore, our advice is that you release funds through your scheme immediately after making your booking. Please use your order number or child’s full name as a reference.

Accounts in arrears will not be able to make future bookings.

What to Expect/What to Bring?

  • Will my children be in the same group?

Children will start, eat lunch and end their day in PODs. See more information here about PODs. Some activities are done in PODs

At other times the children can mix. At Camp Glide we believe in choice. We will offer several activities and children can choose to be together (although some activities may have age limits). Our staff will pitch activities to the children so they may choose what they are interested in doing.

  • What should my children bring to holiday club?

There's a handy list on each our Wray Common and Chipstead Valley Club pages.
